DANCE

Ross' vibrant Dance Programme exists due to the vision of former dance teacher Enza Gaumond. Over the years it has grown to include classes in all grades and to support an excellent extra-curricular programme, Royal Rhythm. The Dance curriculum not only allows students to study artistic expression through different forms of dance from many cultures, but it also examines the benefits of exercise, nutrition and the physiology of dance. Royal Rhythm showcases the

talents of young choreographers and dancers both in our 853 seat theatre, E. L. Fox Auditorium, and within the community.

*In grade eleven, students who have completed this course can continue his or her interests in time based media by taking the Intro to Film course.

DRAMA

The original drama department began in 1970 under the leadership of Kay McKie.  What started with one course in Grade 11 in a single classroom, has evolved into one of the largest and most successful programmes in the province with courses from Grade 9 - 12 in English, French and E.S.L. We offer 3 programs of study;  the regular program, the technical program and the acting program.  Please click on the "The Ontario Curriculum"

on the left of this screen to see the Ministry descriptions.

We operate out of two drama studios and an 853 seat theatre that are fully equipped with technical

equipment to support the students learning.
